Your students have probably experienced planned and unplanned spending some time in their lives. This is a standard that is not always easy to teach or explain. Not too worry! Here's an activity that teaches students about planned and unplanned spending in a kid-friendly way. Students will work on vocabulary, solve word problems, count money, write ideas, and discuss with a friend.
