SESSION 06 - Session 06 - Getting Better Requires Clear Goals and Deliberate Work - Learning Progressions
NOTE: This session in the teacher's guide deals more with goal setting than with CCSS Standard 3.9 - comparing/contrasting two texts. I have revised the lesson somewhat to emphasize more of the work involved in reaching the CCSS standard.
This is for Unit 02 - Reading to Learn - the new 3rd grade Reading Units of Study by Lucy Calkins and the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project (TCRWP).
This unit covers nonfiction text features, main ideas, supporting details, expository text, narrative nonfiction, etc.
