Here's a fun Write the Room activity where students will be up and moving, learning how to subitize.
Subitizing is “instantly seeing how many,” rather than having to count.
Perceptual subitizing is instantly recognizing quantities that are in organized or random patterns.
Conceptual subitizing is recognizing larger amounts based on known patterns and arrangements like pips on a die, five frames, and dominoes.
