Here are three outlines that give Biology/Life Science teachers a possible way to organize the Life Science standards while incorporating some of the Earth Science Standards. The 2016 California Science Framework for 2016 has come up with a viable outline in which to teach this portion of the 3-course model, and it is shown here. The San Diego County of Education (SDCOE) tweaked it a little bit, and that is also represented here. The third outline is taken from the NGSS 2016 Example Bundles which is a new approach to translating the NGSS into the curriculum. I have put their information into a simple outline with which to compare the other two. You and your school/school district will decide which is the best way to teach the 3-course within the 3-course model, but these 3 outlines may give you an idea of some possible ways in which to do it.
