This activity is directly aligned with Next Generation Science Standard MS-LS1-4 (or 07-LS1-4 if you're in Kentucky).
This is a fun argument activity directly aligned to Next Generation Science Standard
MS-LS1-4. It includes 7 different organisms with descriptions of their “G” rated reproductive behaviors, an argument organizer with directions and a guide, possible learning targets, and possible procedures.
Just as the standard says, students will use empirical evidence to create an argument – either as individuals or in groups. Students will do this by using pictures and descriptions of 7 different animal reproductive behaviors. They will organize their argument in an organizer that can be used to write an essay.
This could be used either in the middle of a unit or as part of a summative assessment for the standard.
I have a matching activity as well for the same standard.
