Explore wind energy in the classroom easily. This project is always one of the most popular activities we do in science all year long. It allows young scientists to test a variety of blade designs, generate electricity (0.5 –3 V range), and conduct a controlled scientific experiment. This project include a Microsoft Word lab report that guides students through the scientific method as they try to find the best blade design. Also included is a Microsoft PowerPoint that I use to kick-off the project. You will have to either make your own windmills or purchase them from a science catalog. 2 sources are vernier.com and kidwind.org Feedback is always appreciated.
