Product Description
This activity was developed from the following video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wN_DMMQEhfQ

This activity is designed as an engage activity (5E's) for chemistry to teach the NGSS middle school unit topic on molecules. It has students creating questions which is an NGSS Practice.

Students conduct an activity using glass jars, dry ice, sponges, flashlights, rubbing alcohol, etc. to view subatomic particles flying through space. The point is to get students interested in the tiny particles that they cannot see that make up matter (the atom).

Classroom preparation time is required. The classroom must be very dark and dry ice is needed for this activity.

This document is a word document and is fully editable. Answer key not included.
