These video mini lesson worksheets are intended to be used as an introduction to an NGSS standard or to engage students further during a lesson. Students will Think, Speak, and Write like a scientist as they experience learning through watching phenomenon and interesting applications of science content. The mini lessons support students in engaging with standards before, during, and after the video.
I think there is magic in a well timed and well curated YouTube video during a science lesson. All of the videos used are available on YouTube and feature creative and scientifically accurate content from NPR's Skunk Bear, PBS' It's Okay to be Smart, and TedEd. Each video is paired with a two page worksheet includes the video title and the NGSS standard that can be applied.
These lesson contain standards that would most likely be taught as a bundle. Included are videos that support MS-LS1-1, MS-LS1-2, MS-LS1-3, MS-LS1-8, MS-ESS2-4
