These articulation webs have great visuals for your students and parent’s of students to easily understand. They show placement for both the consonants and the vowel sounds. They can be used to target the initial sound and final consonant sounds (except for /h/). They also indicate whether the sound is voiced of voiceless.
I start by targeting the sounds in isolation. For example, if I’m targeting /b/, I’d separate the b from the vowel sounds. Once they are able to produce them each consecutively, I start having the students blend the sound with the vowels (initial or final depending on what I’m targeting) by dragging their finger across the web. This give tactile and visual input.
