These Interactive Sight Word Practice Books are a fun and exciting way for students to practice reading their sight words. The books are perfect for practice in centers, as classwork, or for homework.
Each booklet includes five pages of different practice activities. The difficulty of each page increases as the students become more familiar with the word.
Page 1: Students color the sight word using their favorite color.
Page 2: Students can use dabbers, crayons, markers, or a pencil to complete a word hunt.
Page 3: Students "build" their sight word using letters that they cut out from the last page of each document. They will need scissors and glue to complete this page.
Page 4: Students read a sentence that includes the new sight word. At the end of each sentence, there is a box. This box can be used in many different ways. Here are a few ideas: students can illustrate the sentence, teachers can place a sticker or write their initials in the box, or a partner can write their initials in the box if the student reads the word correctly.
Page 5: Students create their own sentences using the new sight word.
Fry's list of Pre-Primer, Primer, and First Grade sight words are included in this resource. That's more than 130 practice books!! What a deal!
