Kids of all ages love to play “I Spy” games. These NO PRINT interactive pattern stories target SP, ST, SK, SN and SM clusters. Your students will practice their S blends while spying for a variety of hidden objects. “Sneaky Snake” and “Small Bugs” are just a few of the adventures awaiting! These pattern stories are designed to develop phonological and articulation skills, vocabulary and grammatical structures. Pattern stories are not only predictable but easy for non-readers to recall and repeat. You can utilize these pattern stories in a variety of ways:
- Read the story to the student emphasizing the target sounds or language skills.
- Utilizing a “cloze technique” stop when you reach the target word and have your student say it out loud.
- Teacher and student read the pattern story out loud together.
- Student can independently read the story out loud to you.
