I use these easy-steps nouns, verbs and adjectives worksheets with different aged children, aged from 8. They love the bite-sized chunks and just get on with them once they know what they have to do. These worksheets really make children THINK about parts of speech. They have to question their choices, which I find really helps when identifying the different parts and in retaining the information.
There is a worksheet for each; noun, verb and adjective, plus a test sheet (with answers) and then a final test to cover all of the parts of speech taught. We use lots of different coloured pens and highlighters. They love it!
Note: Pronouns and proper nouns are not covered here. I tell the children what they are when they point out names as nouns and words such as 'him, her' etc. I find it makes it easier to teach them later when they understand them.
