This outstanding video explain the periodic table, the work done by Mendeleev, the nature and atomic structure of several chemical elements, the properties of the different families in the periodic table, the elements of life, carbon dating, half life, and more is episode 6 from the 39th season of the NOVA series, which is titled Hunting the Elements. The way the video is narrated by host David Pogue is really good and keeps the students motivated. At times he resembles Bill Nye, the science guy. The questionnaire is a worksheet in pdf format containing 29 questions of the first 57 minutes of the video. This video is useful to physics teachers in some modern physics chapters. To chemistry, physical science, and earth science teachers is quite beneficial in the chapters about the atom, the periodic table, properties of matter, nuclear chemistry, and many more. The way the seven elements of life are explained in the video can be useful to biology, anatomy and health science teachers as well.
