Are you a fifth grade teacher in Nebraska? If so, you know that the NSCAS testing is right around the corner. I teach elementary math in Nebraska and have created these 92 task cards to help prepare fifth graders for the math portion of the assessment.
-92 questions developed using the Achievement Level Descriptors provided by the Nebraska Department of Education. There are four leveled questions per each of the 23 math standards that will be assessed. The task cards are organized by standard, with one easy question, two intermediate questions, and one rigorous question per standard to simulate the adaptable nature of the NSCAS assessment.
-An organizational tool for the teacher to keep track of which standards students have mastered and which standards they need more practice with. (As well as other teacher tips for most effective use of this resource.)
-Answer sheets for students to record their answers on and answer keys for the teacher.
-Graphics such as bar graphs, data tables, 2-D shapes, 3-D shapes, and more as students may see on the assessment.
-Some questions with multiple answers give students exposure to some of the other types of questions they may encounter on the assessment in addition to single-answer multiple choice questions.
Please feel free to ask me a question or check out the preview to see some task card examples before purchasing.
