This packet contains NWEA RIT bands within the LITERATURE: Key Ideas and Details focus. It contains the focus skills of Figurative Characterization and Setting. It covers the RIT ranges of 201-210; 211-220; 221-230; and 231-250. It is used to personalize student learning, while still focusing on a weaker skill that that specific group needs to work on. Students choose one/two skills from each category to drive their focus for their discussions and annotations around a text that is at their level (RIT band). They reflect on why they chose that specific skill as a group!
I have also left the books that those specific groups chose to focus on for reference, but they can be deleted and replaced with any book choice within that groups reading level!
