This is a sheet that provides students the place to write their answers to the 50 multiple choice questions (Parts A and B1) on the NYS Chemistry Regents Exam. This answer sheet is not specific to any year, it asks the students to write in the month and year of the exam they are using. I use this with my students at the end of the year when we start to use old regents exams for review.
The directions ask students to list any Reference Table they used to answer the question, and to color the question number red for questions that gave them difficulty. By indicating Reference Table usage, the students become aware of how much of the test can be answered using the provided tables. The coloring of difficulty questions helps the student identify areas/topics of high need, which can later be used to guide students in their individual study efforts.
Another added benefit of this answer sheet is it makes grading the multiple choice section easier for the teacher.
This answer sheet is not provided by the state.
