I designed this resource in order to help Emerging to Transitioning English Language Learners (ELLs) in Grades 9-12 write a well-structured, informational paragraph (Short Constructed Response) in response to a NYSESLAT writing prompt. The guided is designed to help students score between 1-3 (depending on the student), based on the NYSESLAT Writing Rubric for Grades 9-12.

This resource contains guided notes, two outline templates (one blank and one with signal words included), a sample question and paragraph, and a peer review sheet.
