In the early elementary grades specially kindergarten and first grade, children love their names and want to learn how to write them correctly and take pride and ownership of their names.

This resource supports writing and recognizing names and writing those names in different ways in order to practice name writing and recognition.

At the same time you will learn a little bit about your learners, their fine motor abilities, focus, following directions, favorite color and why they think their name is special or perhaps their name has a special meaning to their family.

Here is What’s Included:

  • A cover with name writing and a self portrait if you decide to bind all pages into a booklet or simple use the page alone!
  • Counting the number of letters in their name and noting the beginning and ending number.
  • Counting the number of syllables in their name.
  • Finding and circling the letters in their name.
  • Writing their name different ways such as: Rainbow writing, with marker, crayon, dotted writing, fancy writing and their favorite color.
  • A page for each child to explain why their name is special.
  • Pages of colored crayons for students to write their names to use as display for Bulletin Boards and Editable slides of these crayons so you can add your own letters mixed up or in order for students to cut a apart and put back into order to spell their names. THEIR ARE ALSO EDITABLE CRAYONS FOR YOUR USE...Simply add the text you want and go from there,

  • As a class book choosing a page or two from each child to bind and place in your classroom library
