I use this activity in my pre-K classroom as a beginning of the year activity. It helps the children to learn the letters and order of the letters in their name as a repetitive process.
1. Print out as many blank grids (slide 3) as children in your class on card stock.
2. Print out the letters of each child's name. Cut out and place into bags.
3. Help the child on the first line or two to start the pattern. Let them continue the pattern on their own, with you observing,
4. This can also be used for words other than names, such as sight words!
This PDF is 62 pages long and includes capital and lowercase letters, space and hyphen pages, as well as the blank grid.
