  • Directions with 10 text fields for names up to 9 letters long
  • 10 outlines that will automatically generate the names or words you have typed into the text fields

Simply type 10 names into the text fields and they are automatically generated into the name outlines. Print and cut apart, and place in your center along with manipulatives.

Need more than 10 names? Clear the form after you have printed and enter a new set of names!

Some suggestions for activities. Use with:

  • bingo daubers
  • chalk
  • wikki-stixs
  • scrunched up tissue paper
  • small stickers
  • q-tips and paint
  • markers, crayons, pencils (let students decorate their own desk name plate - great first day of school activity!)
  • small pieces of scrap paper cut up into tiny mosaic pieces - use with tweezers to glue inside lines
  • play-dough - laminate the names and have student roll the dough into the shapes of the letters

The possibilities are limitless, and being able to add new names for new students at any time gives you lots of options.

Why only 9 letters?

That's the largest I could fit on the page. If the name has 'thin' letters, such as 'l' and 'i' you might want to try a longer name to see if it can fit.

How big are the letters?

The tall letters and capitals are 1.5 inches tall. Generally the largest width is around 1 inch.

Can I make the letters bigger?

Not with this resource.

I have more than 10 students!

No problem - simply print the first 10, and then add more names in to the form fields as needed. Repeat!
