Name Trace: Precursor Writing Program
Repetition is the key to success with this program it should be done daily, multiple times a day. Use the name trace as a “sign in/sign out sheet” before and after every activity, work session or game. This is a great morning activity, or any type of one to one work session.
This name trace has minimal prep and an easy assembly, best if laminated and used with dry erase markers for continuous use. There are two versions of the large beginner letters.
*The letters with the yellow tracing arrows provide an extra prompt for the students.
*The blank letters provide a visual guide to trace when they no longer need the yellow prompt lines.
Once the student has mastered the large trace, they're ready to move onto the smaller advanced version also included. This is the final step before independently writing their name. That is THREE skill levels included! Help teach your students the skills needed to become successful with independent name writing!
Name Build: Name Orientation Activity
Simple and easy to use activity to teach name recognition, letter order and writing. This activity uses easy to follow tracing methods to help teach students letter formation and orientation of their name.This is a great for the beginning of the school year, or can be used throughout the school year!
This activity includes:
*26 pages of vertical letter strips
-There are TWO uppercase and TWO lowercase letters on each page for optimal printing.
The vertical letter strips teach students correct letter placement in their name. Each letter strip has fading visual prompts including bright yellow arrows for letter orientation and outlines of each letter for a visual guideline. Letters range in difficulty from easiest at the top to hardest at the bottom.
This activity promotes frustration free independent name writing and is a MUST HAVE in your classroom this year.
