Product Description
Name Recognition: Trying to teach your student or child how to write their name and nothing seems to be working? Then this precursor to writing name trace program is exactly what you have been looking for. I personally have had great success using this program with past students and am happy to share it with you!

This is a great program to implement at the beginning of the school year! This program is perfect for an early childhood program or a special education classroom. Once assembled the Name Trace Pre Cursor to Writing Program is a year-long tool that can be used in an autism program, special education classroom, home therapy or an early childhood preschool program.

The key to success with this writing program is repetition! This activity is to be done daily, multiple times a day. Use the name trace as a “sign in/sign out sheet” before and after every activity, work session or game. This is a great morning activity, or any type of one to one work session.

This name trace has minimal prep and an easy assembly, best if laminated and used with dry erase markers for continuous use. There are two versions of the large beginner letters.
*The letters with the yellow tracing arrows provide an extra prompt for the students.
*The blank letters provide a visual guide to trace when they no longer need the yellow prompt lines.
Once the student has mastered the large trace, they're ready to move onto the smaller advanced version also included. This is the final step before independently writing their name. That is THREE skill levels included!

If you have student's who have writing their name as an objective this year, then this program is perfect for you! IEP GOAL EXAMPLE: Given writing strategies containing visual support,STUDENT will write his/her first/last name containing a combination of upper and lowercase letters with correct letter formation, with 80% accuracy, in 4 out of 5 trials, by MONTH, YEAR.
