Name Writing Practice Editable Name Activities Name Recognition Print & Digital

Encourage your students to want to practice writing and recognizing their names with fun activities and pages. Digital activities for learning to use the keyboard to type their names are also included!

Since some students enter school already knowing how to write their names and others still need practice recognizing their names, I have included differentiated options for each printable page.

You can type in names for students to trace or print blank pages for students who already know how to write their names.

Fun name-building strip puzzles and name cards that include students' photos are also included. Students love seeing their photos which encourages participation and they are perfect for those students who are still learning to recognize their names.

These activities also help students practice other skills such as counting, writing numbers, color recognition, color words, letter recognition, and letter sounds.

You receive:

• Trace it. Build it. Count it. Write it. editable pages - edit the student name on each page for students to trace. Students build their names using magnetic letters or letter tiles (not included), count the number of letters in their names and write the number, and then write their names.
• Roll and Write Your Name in Different Colors editable pages - edit the names on the page for students to trace OR use the blank version for students who know how to write their names. Students roll a die and write their names using a specific color. Use the color version for students who are learning colors. Use the black/white version for students who are learning color words. See the preview file for examples of each.
• Roll and Write Your Name Using Different Writing Instruments editable pages - edit the names on the page for students to trace OR use the blank version for students who know how to write their names. Students roll a die and write their names using different writing instruments (which they LOVE!). They will use a pencil, pen, crayon, colored pencil, marker, and Flair pen (any type of special pen can be used).
• I Can Write My Name Within 3 Lines editable pages - students practice writing their names within 3 lines. Edit the names for students to trace OR use the blank lines.
• Digital Google Slides and Seesaw Activities - these can be used to give students practice using the keyboard to type their names. Digital versions of Type it and Count the Letters are included plus digital versions of the Roll and Type Your Name Using Different Colors are included.
• Photo Strip Puzzles (written directions and video tutorial included) - use the editable template to make fun photo strip puzzles to help students learn the letters in their names.
• Photo Name Plates/Cards (written directions and video tutorial included) - use the editable templates to create nameplates/cards with students' photos and names on them. They are perfect for helping students recognize their names! Can also be used for desk tags, circle time activities, job charts, small group activities, name writing practice, playdough mats, etc.
