Name and Count: Farmland Habitat is an adaptive book that asks students to familiarize themselves with animals in a specific habitat, in this case a farmland habitat. This adaptive ask students to name the animal and count the amount of the animal on the page. This is a great book to start with especially when introducing the vocabulary like habitat because early learners are familiar with the farm is not just from listening to songs like old McDonald.
This book is so great for early learner and students with disabilities (such as autism, intellectually disabled, multiply disabled) and it can be used in a student’s individual workstation to continually review a unit of study.
This Book is great for Science units on animal habitats. This is a great example for students to practice counting and cardinality in Math. This is also a great example of adaptive book used for reading for information.
