This file has everything you need to set up a DIY board game about science tools for your elementary science lab. It's a great way to help students recognize and memorize all the tools while proving that science can be fun.
Included are the following:
- 2 pages of notes to the teacher containing helpful hints and tips
- game board
- directions to the game
- page of titles to glue on the front of a file folder for easy recognition (if you choose to make this a file folder game)
- 2 cut-and-tape dice
- 10 different game pieces/markers (2 of which are black and white so you can color them any color)
- 1 set of game cards
- 1 answer page
I made mine into file folder games by gluing the game board and directions on the inside of a file folder (a picture of this is included in the packet); it is super-easy and convenient to store and retrieve as needed!
I put my 3rd grade students into groups of 3-4 to play this game. It took them 20-30 minutes to finish.
