Get students talking! As soon as students have learned their ABC's and Numbers, this is a great activity to get students utilizing the target language.
1) Cut out the new "identities" and distribute one to each student. Tell students they should NOT tell anyone or show anyone their new identity until the activity starts... otherwise - MENOS PUNTO!
2) Students must speak with at least 8 students (You can add more lines for more students) and ask for their new name and have their classmates spell it out (utilizing the new alphabet) as well as their new phone number. This quick yet repetitive practice is excellent for retention of new numbers and letters.
3) after the activity, I call on students to share with me their new name and number and I write it out on the board. Often times, if they are spelling something incorrectly, they notice as soon as they see it written incorrectly on the board and they can fix their own errors.
