This scavenger hunt for naming acids and bases is an easy, no prep (print and go!) loop activity that will lead your students around your classroom finding acid and base compounds and names. Students will solve the problem at one station, then go on a hunt to find their answer at another station. If the student has completed each problem correctly, they will complete the loop by finding the answer to their last problem at their starting station.
To complete this activity, students should have experience naming acid and base compounds from names and names from compounds. The scavenger hunt includes 9 of each type of problem. Students also may need access to a periodic table and a polyatomic ion chart.
This product includes a 2 page teacher guide, 18 rotation cards, an answer sheet, and a full answer key. To prepare for the activity, print a copy of the rotation cards, fold each in half, tape them up around your classroom, and you're ready to go.
