Naomi Osaka is a Haitian-Japanese professional tennis player. On September 8, 2018, at the age of 20 years old, Naomi Osaka made history when she defeated 23 times Grand Slam winner Serena Williams at the U.S. Open Singles Tournament finals. She became the first person, male or female, playing for Japan to win a Grand Slam title.
She also became the first Haitian and the first Japanese person to win the U.S. Open.
