This exciting alternative project will fulfill narrative standards while engaging your students in writing, speaking, and listening as well as publishing for an authentic audience. Students conduct interviews of their peers in order to answer essential questions. Student portraits are a powerful way to share your school's story.
These can be compiled by the teacher or combined into a class blog or website. Social media may be applicable as well.
This resource includes CCSS recommendations, project overview, learning targets, daily pacing, linked resources, and a real student product to use as inspiration in both blog form and digital (interactive) magazine.
