This resource contains a fun, creative writing activity. You can use this in the classroom or for homework. It is perfect for the holidays. However it is aligned with Common Core's narrative writing requirements.

Provide a conclusion that follows from the narrated experiences or events
In this activity, students will create a main character who is an elf. Students will come up with a creative name and setting. Students will have to think of a problem faced by the elf and come up with several failed attempts at solving the problem. Students will then have to come up with a successful solution to the problem.
