Hey Narrative Fans,

In this packet are:

A story to help explain the factors that help create a narrative. This can be projected on your white board, used to make a class narrative resource book, or copied for hands on student use.
A poem about important narrative elements that can also be projected. (a slideshow with this poem and sequencing steps to follow in a narrative is on my store as well) This was mainly designed to be used in a lesson, so the children can illustrate the meanings of the stanzas. The car by the title has a box for them to draw their face in as well. It is one that can be used ongoing and serve as a introduction and review.
A graphic organizer/checklist for their writing notebooks that sequences the steps that could be used to compose a narrative. Various transitions appropriate for a narrative are in the chart categorized as well. *
A drama that can lend itself to beginning a prompt about a difficult time or when they learned something new.
A poster for display or one to copy for their writer’s notebook.
