These lesson plans are for a week's worth of narrative writing that can be used for grades 3, 4, and/or 5. The lessons are already filled out for you, but you might have to add (or subtract) things as needed, such as technology, or according to your school district. You can reuse these plans many times; just remember to change the yellow highlighted part for any new prompt you might use.
These plans are 6 pages in total.
The lessons consist of 6 parts: Task Focus (TF), Lesson Presentation (LP), Guided Practice (GP), Independent Practice (IP), Review (R), and Home Learning (HL). Also included are: Objectives, Lesson Development, Evaluation, Materials used, and CCSS with matching GLEs (for Louisiana).
Along with the lesson plans, you get a summary for the elements of Step Up to Writing (which is what these lessons are based on), an example T-chart with matching paragraph that are already done for you, and a list of words and phrases to use when working on narrative writing.
These lesson plans do follow the steps of the writing process.
These plans have been approved by my principal, as well as a JBHM representative we had at our school.
