Teach students to write well constructed narratives using a roller coaster analogy with these posters and planners.

Included are:

♦ Explanation page (1 page)

♦ 3 poster levels (including alternate spellings) (5 pages)

♦ 2 planner levels (2 pages)

The basic level of the roller coaster gives guidance on what to include in the beginning, middle and end of the story. The medium level poster starts making students aware of the scaffolding needed such as punctuation, characterisation and audience. The final poster brings in the idea of extra events in solving the problem. Two versions of the medium and hard level poster have been included due to the spelling of characterisation, please only print the relevant page to your country.

The planners are divided into three sections with a mini rollercoaster at the top to guide planning. The first planner is designed for younger children who will draw pictures and the second planner has lines for writing.
