Room to Write units are a series of writing lessons which teach students writing vocabulary while teaching narrative writing skills. Each lesson is taught using a PowerPoint presentation, which includes an objective, concept development, guided practice, and independent practice. The engaging activities, which follow the lessons, help to make writing concepts more tangible.
These lessons include pictures to help students write and to understand how to place events in order. Included is 20 days of Daily Writing Practice, which encourages students to use their creativity to practice writing on a daily basis. Once students complete the series of 4 lessons, they will be prepared to write a narrative with a sequence of events and temporal words.
