What educators are saying

I loved the multiple ways I can use these cards! I will be using them this year for both quick writes in writers' NBs and in group writing activities. Thanks for a low-prep activity!
Students used these cards in several ways during the course of their personal narrative unit and they were SO helpful! Thank you!

Description

Do your writing students need a little nudge of inspiration sometimes? These versatile task cards can provide just that. Students can draw task cards that will give them ideas for opening lines, setting, character development & motivation, conflict, and plot twists. There are also cards that you can give them that ask them to use certain language techniques for effect.

These cards can be used by individual students when the need a little inspiration or by collaborative groups. There is also an option for you to set up learning stations using the cards. Each card is editable, so you can modify as needed.

I have included a graphic organizer for students, but have not included any assessment tools, as this is something I would use for fun and skill development only.
