Editing can be boring to many, which is why I came up with an interactive way to edit their essay. These are all suggestions based on my experience running an event, in my own classroom.

I created a Writing Wonderland Itinerary, which includes the editing process for their essay, which is interactive. The Itinerary guides students through the editing process by:

Through the Looking Glass:

punctuation, spelling, paragraph

Tea Time:

Content for a narrative (beginning, middle, end, etc.)

Wonderland!

Guiding the students through a peer edit

If you would like to purchase the following, it helps with the experience. I purchased most of the items at the local 99cent store.

1.Table cloths – blue and white

2.Tea Cups – My local Goodwill

3.Flowers for the table (this year, mine were donated, and are real)

4.Signs holders for the table numbers (purchased on Amazon)

5.Crayons/markers for the editing process
