My students would get tripped up on the normal plot chart with "rising actions" and "climaxes".
To alleviate that, this graphic organizer has the conflict line going down instead of up, which helped my kids remember that the conflict gets worse as you go (down is bad).
Also, students just answer questions for each phase of the story. It follows what I call the pixar method.
