After having SO many students ask me what "holiday" it is each day, I decided to create informative activity sheets for daily celebrations! My students especially love the wacky ones and look forward to learning more about all different subjects...it's almost like a little surprise each morning! And he best part about daily "holidays" is that they usually touch upon a subject that we're not working on, which means it adds variaty to the school day and also sparks a lot of interest and great conversation! Often times I find that my students will go home that day and learn more about the daily topic!
These are great as morning work, Daily 5 choices, extra work or homework. I like to send home the weekend ones as optional work as well (printing front and back for these ones saves paper).
Each daily celebration sheet has a little summary of the "holiday" and a brief activity or writing prompt. In addition, every sheet is colorable including the titles. Below I have listed the day and the activity that goes along with each. There is also a colored list of all the daily celebrations in February if you like posting them in the room.
