The extreme conditions faced by North Koreans in our modern world intrigue students. This video captures their attention and is one they keep talking about all year!
An undercover reporter enters the country and films the real North Korea. The differences between our government, economy, and daily life are illustrated in a way students understand. The documentary is produced by National Geographic and is about 50 minutes long, perfect to fit into one or two class periods.
The handout includes 10 video response questions that focus on the big ideas presented in the video to highlight the differences between the roles of citizens in each country. The questions are written in chronological order with the movie so you can pause and discuss as needed.
Includes: Student worksheet, teacher answer key, and a teacher reference guide
