Summary of Passage to Freedom
Chiune Sugihara is a Japanese diplomat in Lithuania during World War II. One night, hundreds of Jews crowd outside the family's home in hopes that Sugihara will grant them visas to Japan. Japan's government refuses, but Sugihara signs a visa for every person, even as a train takes him out of Lithuania to Germany. He is remembered as someone who saved thousands of people from the Nazis.
