Pg. 25-29 Mystery Bottle – a writing and craft activity – copy the patterns onto the appropriate colored construction paper – glue together as seen in the example – write about where your mystery bottle will take you – a choice of plain writing paper or writing paper with a sentence starter – glue the bottle tilted onto a large piece of white construction paper and color your picture to show where you are going

Pg. 30-31 My Proper Noun Book – a foldable book where you can practice writing common nouns and proper nouns

Pg. 32-34 Tea Time! – glue the tea cups on the correct side of the paper depending on if they are common nouns or proper nouns – enough tea cups for two students

Pg. 35-46 Stack the Pancakes – Cook something new with dad! Place the pancake words facedown on the table, take turns using a plastic spatula – flip the pancake word over, if you can read the word, place it on your plate – lose a turn if you are unable to read the word – whoever has the most pancakes at the end of the game wins! I bought my spatula at the dollar store. Add to cardstock and laminate for durability.
