Pg. 12-16 Science Vocabulary and Academic Vocabulary – copy pages A and B back to back – cut on the dotted lines and fold on the solid lines – draw a picture and write a sentence for each vocabulary word

Pg. 17-18 My Animal Adjective Book – a foldable book to help you practice your adjectives

Pg. 19-23 This, That, These, Those – Copy pages A and B back to back – glue the pockets into the book – glue only the bottoms and the sides of the pockets – cut out the pictures and place them into the appropriate pockets

Pg. 28-30 My Autumn Adjectives – a fun craft and writing activity that allows you to practice with adjectives Ex: I see orange leaves, I smell sweet apples

Pg. 31-42 Making Short Vowel Words – place the picture in the top box and use the letters to spell the word – record the words in the accordion book

Pg. 43-52 Into The Forest – a game to help you learn your high frequency words - Directions: Walk along the animal trail. Put your playing piece on the start space. 2 to 4 players can play. Take turns. Put playing cards face down in a pile. First player chooses a card. If it is a leaf card, read the word. If you read the word correctly, move ahead the number of spaces it says on that card. If you do not read the word correctly, put it on the bottom of the pile and skip your turn. If there is an animal on the card, it will have you move ahead or backward. You than lose your turn. The first person to reach the animal cave wins!
