Pg. 3-7 Science Vocabulary and Academic Vocabulary – copy pages A and B back to back – cut on the dotted lines and fold on the solid lines – draw a picture and write a sentence for each vocabulary word
Pg. 8-11 Color Pete – color Pete depending on the spelling words or High Frequency Words. 3 choices of papers. 1. only the spelling words 2. first four spelling words and the high frequency words 3. all the spelling words and the high frequency words
Pg. 12- 13 Color the soft g or c sounds – as you write each spelling word use colors to write the soft ci, ce, gi, and ge soft sounds – write the rest of the spelling word in pencil
Pg. 14-16 Orange Crayon “ge” reading strip – cut out the orange crayon, cut on the dotted lines, put the paper strip though the dotted lines and move it to read the words – record the words in your foldable book –write gi, ci, and ce words into your book
Pg. 17- 19 Roll a Possessive Pronoun Sentence – copy pages A and B back to back – roll the dice once for the object and once for the pronoun – use them together in a sentence
Pg. 20-22 I wish I had … - copy pages A and B back to back to form a book – what animal body parts do you wish you had and how would you use them
Pg. 23-26 Venn Diagrams – compare and contrast various animals
Pg. 27 Pete Adjectives – write six adjectives about Pete. Circle your favorite and use it in a sentence.
Pg. 28-33 Going Fishing - Place the fish face down in a pile on the pond. Take turns using the fishing pole. Catch a fish from the pond and read the word written on it. If you read the word correctly, place it in your pile. If you catch a boot, sock, or tire, you will return a fish to the pond and lose your turn. Whoever has the most fish at the end of the game wins.
Pg. 34-37 I wish I had.. – a writing and drawing project – write about your favorite animal body part that you would like to have and tell what you would do with it – attach the writing and the drawing to a large piece of construction paper and display it
