In this lesson there are 5 postcards from Cody (fictional) to his friend Dan. He sends them late, so Dan receives them all in one day. Dan's task, and also your students', is to put the postcards in order by numbering them. This will enhance the reading comprehension skill of sequencing. At the same time your students will learn some interesting facts about Yellowstone National Park. They will probably be most interested in the geyser, Old Faithful. You could use the lesson for Teaching Reading Skills in the Content Area of Social Studies. It comes with two color pictures that were previously water colors. (The one came out black-and-white in my preview because it is a tiff.) The lesson has an answer key. You can easily print out as many of it as you need. It is on a word document that you can edit if necessary.
