National Parks (and Other Places) Math Task Cards is a good math-social studies resource. The cards contain a math problem dealing with a national park or other place of interest from each state. The majority of the math problems are basic operations. They are not rigorous at all. Many, but not all of the problems are suitable for third graders. I made an effort not to name the states on the cards. I included an outline of the state on each card. I included a response board where the student could identify which state each card highlighted. The cards deal with the states in alphabetical order. Borders courtesy of mycutegraphics.com State graphics courtesy of Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah.
