This product will assist students in practicing some of the basic punctuation marks. They will not only read about punctuation marks, but also practice using these punctuation marks.
This flip book was created in recognition of National Punctuation Day, September 24. It is one of three flip books. Each flip book covers four different punctuation marks and contains student activities to practice what they’ve learned about basic rules concerning punctuation.
This product includes:
An informational reading passage about National Punctuation Day.
A low-prep flip book to be assembled by the students
Informational flip pages about each punctuation mark
Student activity pages for each punctuation mark
Punctuation marks practiced:
Once assembled, the flip book will consist of 8 flip pages. There are two flip cards for each punctuation mark. The first flip page contains information about a specific punctuation mark and the second flip page contains student practice activities for that particular punctuation mark.
This resource is aligned with the following Common Core Standard:
CCSS.ELA. L. 2 Demonstrate a command of the conventions of Standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing.
