The National School Walkout will take place on March 14th, 2018 at 10am. It is a nationwide protest of our leaders' failure to pass laws that protect us from gun violence.
What will you teach your students on that day? This lesson draws on the history of the 1968 East L.A Chicano walkouts (where 10,000 Mexican American students protested unequal school conditions for 2 weeks) and makes the seamless connection to today's walkouts. It holds space for students to make their voices heard.
