Thank you for your interest in
the National Scribble Day activities
Happy Hive/ homeschool holiday.com.
Our resources are designed to accompany holidays throughout the year.
This packet is designed to complement the holiday:
National Scribble Day- March 27th. You can use it anytime.
It is makes a great spur of the moment art activity.
You can use this activity both Paper and Digitally. There is a link to a Google Slides Drag and Drop where learners create their own virtual scribble. Check out the Preview!
Begin by reading the book: I'm NOT Just a Scribble by Diane Adler to your audience. For your convenience I have also included a link to the book as a video book read aloud on You Tube. The video will play in it's own window (full screen) without any "suggested" videos at the end. The link is in the PDF as well as in the drag and drop activity.
Here is what your get:
24 single page scribbles. These are a great complete the picture activity for multiple ages.
The scribbles are located in various positions on the page. Learners incorporate the scribble into an imaginative drawing. The last page in this series is "blank" and asks learners to draw a scribble of their own then trade with a friend.
The set of 24 scribbles are then grouped onto 4 pages in sets of 6. These produce smaller pictures, and require less printing if you want learners to use all the scribbles. This option also has a set of blanks for creative scribbles and trading with a friend.
Next you will find a "Scribble Monster" Cut and paste activity followed by the link to the Google Slide drag and drop scribble creation activity. Both have an area for learners to write how they are indeed more than a scribble.
Samples of student work are included to inspire you.
I hope you enjoy using this product in your educational journey!
