This is fun game that gives students practice in adding 2 numbers together. It is a Native American themed Bump game, which pairs nicely with the Core Knowledge Native American unit.
Four different mats are provided. Print a few copies of the Native Bump mats, mount them on card stock or construction paper and laminate them.
Students will roll two dice, add the numbers together and tell their opponent the sum. They will cover that number on the game board with some kind of marker. (Each player should use a different marker or a different colored marker). If another player’s marker is already there, They can BUMP it off! If their own marker is already there, they will stack their marker on top of the marker that is already there and freeze the number, so it can’t be bumped. The player with the most numbers covered at the end is the winner.
