This is a report project. Students are guided to complete a written report and three visual aids. Students choose a Native American tribe, generate ten questions to research, site their sources, and write a report. Afterwards, they create a model of the dwelling associated with their tribe, clothing associated with their tribe, and color a map of their tribes location. The project includes four patterns for Native American dwellings and two pages of typical clothing items that can be used for visual aids. The project is pasted into a folder or large construction paper folded in half to create a memorable take home item. It is also great for presenting at parent teacher conferences, open house, or bulletin board displays. It covers many common core standards, such as conduct short research projects, site sources, create a presentation with a visual aid, conduct research using electronic sources, and many more.
